"Araw ng Kagitingan" ("The Day of Valor")

Today (April 9), we celebrate "the Day of Valor" (locally known in the Philippines as "Araw ng Kagitingan") to commemorate the fall of Bataan and to remember the Filipino and American soldiers who fought and died in defending the Philippine Islands from the Japanese invasion during the Second World War.

A Soldier is someone who at one point in his life wrote a blank cheque made payable to HIS/YOUR country for an amount up to, and including his life! That is honor and there are way too many people in our country today who no longer understand that fact! Copy and Paste this to your wall/blog if you are thankful for your FREEDOM!.. thanks a soldier!
